Pont Vieux

A couple of very quickly fired shots of the Pont Vieux in Sospel. I was freezing cold by this time, but wanted to make sure I caught a couple of shots in town with snow. Hopefully if it blues up tomorrow, I'll be able to return and get some better results.

Monte Carlo Historique 2012

On a Tuesday!?!?!
Really gutted to have missed most of this Rally, especially as conditions today on the Col De Turini would have made for some incredible photos.
I managed to get into Sospel on my lunch hour to fire off a few shots, tried a cross processing look for them all, which I felt suited the era of the cars.
Would have liked to make it down to Monaco to see Parc Ferme this evening, but I am without car, also, it is possible that the road down to Menton will be closed as well.

Gettin' Addicted

Not a great shot, I was just thinking about how to get a photo of my addiction. I'm gonna try to make a white background, and shoot some of it in a 'product' fashion. Think maybe having the machine centred, and doing something different either side of it.

Really good to have the coffee machine back and working. Can't wait to start making my way through some of the coffee here.

WRC - Rallye de Monte Carlo

So finally - or so it seemed, the WRC rolled into town. I had been hoping for some snow to line the roads up Turini, but it never arrived.
A large amount of walking to make it to the stage - I reckon about 25km on the Saturday, was pretty tiring, but as the cars started to pass through the stage for the first time, the fatigue was forgotten about.
Great to see the cars, though I am tiring somewhat of the asphalt rallies, and really fancy a change of terrain.
First photos I have processed so far, I will add more as I work through them.

Orchid

A couple of shots i took yesterday of an orchid. Quite liked them myself.

That's just not cricket...

Found this guy in the garden today. I wouldn't have expected to see them at this time of year, and he seemed quite dozy, but must have made it out onto the drive somehow. Tried to get a few shots, bouncing flash off some white paper above him. The shots are pretty sharp, but not as sharp as I would like them, I'm going to have to read up a bit more about this macro business.
