Retro Drift Challenge

A trip out today to the Teesside Autodrome to watch the Retro Drift Challenge. It took a while for the karting race to finish, and the cars to appear, but once they did it was quite a spectacle. It was the first time I had watched any competitive drifting, but it is a brilliant spectator sport.
I'll definitely be going back the next time there is some drifting at Teesside

Probably the closest photogenic spot to where I live, but I rarely stop there for a shot. Took a trip down one evening to chance our luck against Mother Nature for a splash of colour in the sky. For once, she obliged!

Tyneside Stages 2013

After a brief summer hiatus, i.e: Five whole weeks without any motorsport, I made it up early to the Otterburn Ranges in Northumberland. A beautiful day, and some great scenery.
Felt a bit rusty shooting motorsport after a bit of a break, but soon felt like i got into the swing of it.
I'm looking forward to a rally filled autumn.

Morning motivation

I finally managed to get myself together and head out to the coast for a sunrise. I timed the tides all wrong, and there was no movement in the water at all, plus the tide was fully covering all the interesting bits of the beach. Still the colours were great, and the bonus of seeing seals and jumping fish made up for it.
