Riponian Stages Rally 2014

After a long hiatus over the past couple of months, I have some catching up to do on the blog. First Motorsport of the year went down in the North Yorkshire forests a few weeks ago. Struggled to get back into the swing, but enjoyed the day out with some friends.

Autumnal Buttermere

The last of the landscape shots from the Lake District. A few closer shots as the sun lit up the last of the leaves in the trees and gave rise to some beautiful reflections.

Probably the most beautiful of the Lakes I have visited in Cumbria. It was a shame that I couldn't stay for longer, as the light was nice on the hills, but didn't allow me to shoot the tall trees on the edge of the lake as I would have liked. I look forward to coming back here soon, and spending a day enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Pre-Dawn at Derwent Water

First stop on the trip to Cumbria was Ashness Jetty at Derwent Water. Despite a forecast of fog and cloud, I took the risk, which paid off nicely with some beautiful pastel colours before the sun made an appearance.

Grizedale Stages Rally

A trip over to Cumbria for the last proper motorsport event of 2013 for me. Some new stages to me, and some really good scenery. What started as a beautiful morning, turned into a very cloudy and dark afternoon, meaning using the full range of in-camera options.
