Rally of the Tests 2013

I was a bit spoilt for choice this weekend, torn trying to decide between the Malton Forest Rally, and Rally of the Tests. It was a tough call, but the opportunity to shoot some cars in the Dales won in the end. Managed to find a great location with the help of some friends, and despite snow and hail initially, the weather improved to provide some great lighting for the cars passing through.

Autumn Breeze

A quick grab shot from the road side on the way into Swaledale on Sunday. I was at full stretch of the 70-200mm lens, but quite liked the variety in colour and direction

An Autumnal Blur

Following on from some Poppy shots earlier in the year, I thought I would try a similar effect with some autumnal colours.

West Burton Leaves

Although there was a distinct lack of golden sunlight on Saturday, I still managed a couple of shots at West Burton Falls in Wensleydale that I was happy with.

Impressions of Wensleydale

A few experimental shots from Wensleydale, trying to shot Autumn in a less obvious manner.

Playing with Fire

A trip to Seaham on Friday night to catch the Firework display resulted in a bit of a rush to make it in time to shoot the fireworks.
Fortunately, with the help of a couple of friends, we had a little man-made Firework display on the beach shortly after.

A ten stop at Seaham

I spent the whole of Saturday afternoon on the beach at Seaham. I learned all about Seaham Sea Glass and spent a good hour or more collecting bits from the beach. A LOT of time was also spent taking some long exposures of the groynes jutting out into the sea.

A couple of car park sightings

A couple of nice looking motors from the car park at Croft. Apparently it is a MRS200 which is a Toyota MR2 based replica. Looked immaculate.

Mucky MG Metro

The 6R4 of Rob Gibson looked in need of a little spit and elbow grease by the end of the day.

A handful more from Croft
