A gorgeous mist lay in the undulations of the area east of Richmond yesterday morning. After first spotting it on a short drive down the A1, it would have been rude not to chase out a landscape opportunity, with such great light. I was happy to stumble across another local castle, one which I had not even heard of before. Cowton Castle, near Pepper Arden. I cannot wait to make a return trip to see what opportunities and angles I may find.
